Paxton MK II - Work in Progress!

A good morning to all this 1st of May.

We've been very busy updating pages and links the last few weeks, but now have some new work in progress images of Paxton the Diesel, courtesy of the Sodor OO Works.

The model is being made using Bachmann's Devious Diesel as opposed to the UK Bachmann's 'Gronk' shunter, the Thomas 'Diesel' is more accurate for Paxton, and seems to be a far smoother runner, with better detail to the body and chassis.

We will post more photos of the work in progress model as they come, but this is what you can expect once he is fully detailed and weathered down! :)

  1. This looks cool! I think it is a huge improvement after trying to use the previous model, now that you have Diesel's model, I anticipate the finished look! Grand job.

I would like to suggest giving him a good dusting of dirt, grime and rock dust to give him a nicely industrial look as the computer model. Pastel dust and acrylic.

  2. Paxton looks cool! A solid improvement to the Bachmann Branchline version using Diesel's model. Grand job. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I would suggest giving him a good weathering for a real industrial look, with acrylic or even pastel dust for grime, dirt, and rock dust.

I look like to see Sidney being modeled for the next diesel!

  3. Paxton looks fantastic, a huge improvement to the Bachmann Branchline. Grand job!

Give him a good dusting and weathering and that will give him a solid industrial look. Acrylic dry-brushing, and maybe some pastel dusk scrapped with a hobby knife are my suggestions.

Looking forward to see Sidney to be the next diesel to work on!
